ABOUT THE ARTIST

Katie Mintle is a born and raised Colorado artist! Her paintings are greatly inspired by nature, especially the towering Rocky Mountains of her home. She primarily works in acrylic paints to create her imaginary landscapes which always possess a touch of whimsy. Katie comes from a long line of artists and has always been encouraged by her family to pursue her art. She graduated with a BFA from Cornell College in 2018, winning the distinguishing Kimmel Award for painting in her graduating class.

Katie is also a singer/songwriter, and multi instrumentalist. She first fell in love with celtic music at age 11 and enrolled in private harp lessons. She began performing almost immediately thereafter, busking on the streets of Boulder with her little harp since she was 11 years old. Though music has been a part of her life since she was very young, singing and songwriting is a more recent passion. Katie began singing harmonies in 2020 during lockdown with her housemates and has been singing professionally ever since. Katie currently sings harmonies for four local bands and works as a freelance musician and studio vocalist. You find all upcoming show dates at the bottom of the home page.
